Dziś przypomnę w ramach muzyki na niedzielę stary przebój zespołu Genesis pt. Jesus He Knows Me.
Przez wiele lat lubiłem tę piosenkę po prostu ze względu na muzykę, lecz dopiero jakieś 5 lat temu dzięki Rudej wsłuchałem się w tekst i poszukałem w sieci teledysku. Nie widziałem go wcześniej, bo jak już kiedyś pisałem – byłem dzieckiem upośledzonym, ponieważ rodzice nie zapewnili mi dostępu do kanału muzycznego MTV :P. Tak czy inaczej od tego czasu utwór Jesus He Knows Me jest na mojej prywatnej liście Top 10 wszechczasów!
Piosenka ta została wydana w 1991 w ramach świetnego albumu We Can’t Dance oraz jako czwarty singiel zespołu. Zarówno słowa jak i to co widzimy w teledysku to fantastyczne przedstawienie mechanizmów działania oraz metod manipulacji wszelkiej maści guru religijnych. Oczywiście tutaj skupiono się głównie na chrześcijańskich tzw. teleewangelistach bardzo popularnych w USA. Tutaj muszę się przyznać, że kiedy pracowałem w USA, czasem wieczorem włączałem kanał z tego typu programami i przez dobrą godzinę nie mogłem się oderwać :)
Nie będę już przedłużał – zapraszam do posłuchania i tradycyjnie dla osób lubiących sobie pośpiewać lub przeanalizować dokładnie tekst podaję pełne słowa pod teledyskiem!
Na koniec jeszcze pozwolę sobie zadedykować ten utwór………. – pozwolicie, że tutaj wprowadzę autocenzurę, chociaż i tak Ci, którym to dedykuję wiedzą, że to o Nich chodzi :)
